Sunil, an eleven-year-old child suffering from Mental Retardation and Cerebral Palsy, had the circumstances that deteriorated his health conditions every day, due to the lack of proper care and therapy. At the end of the day, his parents could hardly afford to put some food on his plate.

Smile Donor, however, brought about a turning point in Sunil’s life. The organization started Home Based Education program for special kids like Sunil who needed immediate help. A special educator was hired, who visited Sunil’s house three times a week to teach him with some basic knowledge. Sunil was also taken to the hospital regularly for physio and speech therapy. Within ten months, Sunil not only learned to count up to 15 but also recite a few Hindi alphabets. Sunil had also memorized about ten fruit names. Earlier, Sunil was completely dependent on his parents to feed him but with the regular therapy, he was able to eat food with his own hands.

The improvement in the life of kids like Sunil gave Smile Donor the strength to continue supporting the cause wholeheartedly. The organization has been working day and night to help children like Sunil with special needs to achieve some extraordinary tasks.
